This morning, I felt like the HONU Pancake plate from Cafe Morey’s.

But, it’s located by the Diamond Head on the South Shore of island. It’s so far away from my house. So I decided to copy them ๐

Unfortunately, I don’t have butter-cream (?) that they use as Honu face, so I made mini-size pancakes and put thin layer of butter on it.

What a beautiful breakfast! I looked up Honu pancakes, a video came up for Honu Harry’s, the video showed batter poured into a pan, cooking the pancake then adding ham two eggs and cheese and pouring batter over that and cooking til golden. So is Honu a filled pancake? It must have been delicious with all of that ripe fruit.

Also, at a nice dinner, I sampled the flower upon my plate. It inspired the older gentleman across from me to do so as well. He said, “Well, if she’s going to do it, I also will.” If I recall it was a genus of orchid. It simply tasted Earthy. I am wondering, is it common in Hawaii, that people eat the healthy, edible flowers decorating their meals?
